Modern, minimalist restaurant, Pizza East, has opened in the infamous Shoreditch hipster hangout, The Tea Building.

Previously a dark, sweaty club, the new Pizza East has embraced the Tea Building’s industrial look with bare wooden floors, exposed brick walls, pipes and concrete pillars, with touches of simplistic, modernist design shining out from the lighting and seating, alongside an organic Italian rustic feel from the counter bar complete with hanging cured hams and cloves of garlic.

The menu also adopts both a traditional, rustic and modern approach, sourcing seasonal and local produce to create an eclectic range of ten-inch premium pizzas, as well as a mouth watering selection of antipasti, baked dishes and salads.

And trust us, one thing that’s even more important than booking a table, is ordering the salted caramel tart.

From December, you can order pizza to-go, shop from the rustic deli counter and store cupboard, and soon there’ll even be a bar downstairs to dance your dough away.
