Just about everyone has jumped on the Pancake Day bandwagon today, and why not? A dish that is so simple, so delicious and so versatile deserves to be celebrated.

And if you haven’t had your pancake yet, we’ve found the top three places in the world where you should go.

Our Top 3 Pancake Hotspots

La Creperie de Hampstead – London. This tiny little stand located near the King William IV pub by the Hampstead tube should not be judged by its size. The pancakes are out of this world and the long queues prove it.

Point Chaud Express – Paris.
This is one pancake shop that cares. You’ll get tea while you wait, the kids get lollipops and every pancake is a real work of art. Each one is folded evenly and gently crisped around the edges to ensure that you experience the ultimate crepe.

La Creperie – Chicago. This little bistro has been around for nearly 40 years and is run by a family that is not afraid to experiment. Expect things like the ratatouille pancake or the Grand Marnier dessert crepe with a touch of liqueur.

But if you are not near any of these, don’t stress. Pancakes are super easy to make and legend has it that if you catch your homemade pancake with a frying pan after tossing it in the air – left handed of course – while holding a piece of gold in your right hand, you’ll become very rich. Sounds foolproof.
