The words “Fashion Week” immediately conjure up images of effortlessly gorgeous looking celebs robed with their favourite designer’s gear and super skinny models strutting their stuff on ridiculously high heels.

But this year, girl’s best friend, Topshop, is letting us normal folk get in on the fashionista action.

From the 19th of February, the three-storey flagship Topshop on Oxford Street becomes the fashionable place to be in London. For the whole of fashion week Topshop’s the place for everything from the chicest cupcakes (as featured in Vogue) to tips on how to start a fashion blog and you can even get your nails done in the latest catwalk colours at the Hoxton-hip Wah Nails Pop-Up Salon.

While Topshop is bang on trend all year round, this week is about everything cutting edge and designer. And while top designers will be on hand to dispense advice, you will also be given the chance to show off your own fashion flair. TOMS shoes, loved by Sienna Miller and the LA elite, are hosting a Style Your Sole event where you can custom design your own pair, with help from inspirational artists and models.

A video wall will also give you exclusive VIP previews from the Topshop show space, while live DJs spin the latest tunes and there will also be lots of must-have giveaways.

So get ready to embrace your inner fashionista, get out your enormous sunglasses and walk the catwalk down Oxford Street to Topshop this weekend.
