Join the Joyride
Okay, so we admit it. ‘Build your own’ kits are not exactly cool these days. But when you add in the word roller coaster – we’re intrigued…
Painting meticulous detail on to a WW2 plane might not be how many of us choose to spend a Saturday, but when we mention that there are G-Forces involved, you may change your mind. The Phoenix Roller Coaster kit promises a fully functioning four foot roller coaster in just one afternoon.
There is, of course, the classic roller coaster loop and even a modern car with automated shoulder restraints that move up and down letting the (invisible – you have to use your imagination for this bit) joyriders on and off the ride. And if that is not enough, you can load the included software on to your laptop and ‘ride’ the coaster from any seat position – and get a real-time G-Force reading when you’re done.
And if you still feel like you need an excuse to buy a ‘build your own’ kit, Father’s Day is coming up on the 20th of June. And we can’t think of a single dad who wouldn’t want one of these. He might even let you help build it.
You can buy your own Phoenix Roller Coaster online from around £110 ($159.99). And we’ve already checked, they will ship to the UK.
Still unconvinced? Watch the promo video to see why we are so excited!
