Celebrate Peru's Independence Day with Cusqueña
In commemoration and celebration of the 189th anniversary of Peru’s Independence Day, we invite you to an evening of music, dance, folklore, food, fiesta, amigos, and of course cerveza Cusqueña!
The ‘Contigo Peru’ event at Conway Hall, in Holborn, London, on Saturday 31st July will feature performances from the most acclaimed Peruvian band in Scotland, Tribus del Sol, as well as the prestigious Afro Peruvian band, Manos Negras. Folklore dance from the three regions of Peru will be performed by Somos Peru who promise an array of colourful Peruvian costumes. The fascinating Marinera Norteña and Marinera Limeña will be performed by the Regional Marinera Champions Gloria & Mario. There will be Waylash and Wayno dance competitions as well as a fiesta of Waltz, Festejos, Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata and the latest Latin beats played by DJ Martin.
All those who go along will also have the chance to win a taste of Peru with a travel book raffle, while enjoying national Peruvian cocktail Pisco Sour and ice cold Cusqueña.
